Goldin+Senneby

since 2004, Sweden

Goldin+Senneby is an artist duo exploring finance, virtual economies and biohacking through conceptual and performative strategies. Since 2004, their practice has drawn parallels between contemporary finance and speculative economics, using fiction, delegation, and secrecy as artistic methods. Their work often unfolds through long-term investigations, involving researchers, economists, and other specialists to develop installations and interventions that reveal hidden mechanisms of control and speculation.

In recent years, their practice has expanded to examine the intersection of nature and human activity, particularly in relation to longevity, ecological impact, and biotechnology. Projects such as Insurgency of Life (2020) and Spruce Time (2019-2025) question the shifting boundaries between bodies, markets, and pharmaceutical advancements. Their work interrogates the role of the human body as a site of extraction and manipulation, tracing the conjunction of biopolitics and global economies.

Goldin+Senneby have exhibited at major institutions worldwide, including the Gwangju Biennale; the Sharjah Biennial; Centre Pompidou, Paris; e-flux, New York and Accelerator, Stockholm. Their work is part of collections such as Moderna Museet Stockholm and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
