The film comes out of research trips to the Tendaguru Beds in Tanzania, a former German colony and the site of systematic excavations of dinosaur bones in the colonial era. Featuring footage from the now overÂgrown site and interviews around the cultural and social history of dinosaurs and fossils, the project critically exposes the realities of colonial extraction and its legacy.
