Appelbaum uses color infrared photography, originally developed to detect camouflaged targets in surveillance and forensic investigations, to capture these highly surveilled individuals in relaxed, everyday settings.  Glenn Greenwald is a lawyer and journalist who was awarded the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for the NSA reporting he led for The Guardian, depicted here with his partner, the Brazilian activist David Miranda.
