Ingrid Burrington is a writer and artist. Continuing her explorations of contemporary networked technologies and their material and social origins, her work Alchemy Studies violently restructures an iPhone into a crystal ball, physically reconfiguring one all-seeing object of divination and control into another. The work draws upon Burrington’s deep research and knowledge of physical processes, digital histories, and the techniques of power which sustain them.
