Suzanne Treister
  is a British artist. Initially recognized in the 1980s as a painter, she became a pioneer in the digital, new media, web based field from the beginning of the 1990s, making work about emerging technologies. Utilizing various media, including video, the internet, interactive technologies, photography, drawing and watercolor, Treister has evolved a large body of work which engages with eccentric narratives and unconventional bodies of research to reveal structures that bind power, identity and knowledge.Her work has been shown at Bard Hessel Museum, New York, 2016; Liverpool Biennial, 2016; Muzeum Sztuki in Lodz, 2016-17; Bildmuseet, Umeå 2016-17; Victoria & Albert Museum, 2016; ICA, London, 1996 and 2015; Centre Pompidou, Paris, 2015; Kunstverein München, 2015; ZKM Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, 2015; Stedelijk Museum Bureau, 2015; Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary, 2015; Hartware MedienKunstVerein, 2015; 10th Shanghai Biennale, 2014; 8th Montréal Biennale, 2014; Annely Juda Fine Art; P.P.O.W., 2013; Cleveland Institute of Art, 2013; Science Museum, London, 2006; Raven Row, 2012.
