SHADOWS by Tayeb Al-Hafez

NOME is pleased to announce a screening of Tayeb Al-Hafez’s award-winning film Shadows on 8 October at 6.30 pm.

Shadows is a silent film adapted from the play Ghosts by Stefan Herrmann, with an original music score by Luciano Chessa. The film presents the story of a young displaced couple. A difficult journey leads them to a new home, where they are haunted by the trauma of forced displacement.

The screening is introduced by Dr. Tayeb Al-Hafez (Director, President of Global Health Equity Foundation) and Chessa, whose score for SHADOWS won “2021 Best Film Score” at the Brussels Capital Film Festival. A conversation between Al-Hafez and Chessa will follow the screening, moderated by Jan Kage.
