Sequence of 10 lightboxes with Duratrans film

Using print-outs of screenshots from a promotional Monsanto TV commercial, Stolle created a sequence of 10 images containing vinyl text and black horizontal bars (reminiscent of redactions and glitches). Stolle extracted words from the original audio transcript in the order they appear to create a new narrative reflective of Monsanto greenwashing. Glitches progressively increase and fill up image space as one reads across. Viewers “read” artwork from left to right as a poetic declaration.
