Morehshin Allahyari’s ongoing project “She who sees the unknown” juxtaposes traditional myths and magic practices, with contemporary practices of story-telling, re-appropriation, and 3D scanning and printing, and archiving. For Agency, Allahyari presents an incarnation of the jinn Huma, the bringer of heat and fever, alongside a set of talismans, in opposition to Westernised and colonial discourses around climate change and global inequality.
